Plein Air
(a painted illusion
in the open air)
Painted entirely in the studio
while looking at my 2 original
plein air works
of the California coastline
at San Simeon, this piece
is intended to be an illusion
standing in the open air. This contemporary easel was inspired by a
trompe l'oeil
easel painted in 1686 by Antonio Forbera.
